United ISD HS Marching Bands Receive 1st Division Ratings at UIL

The UIL Music Region XIV UIL 5A/6A Marching Band Contest was held Saturday, October 20, 2018, at the Bill Johnson Student Activity Complex-Stadium. All four United ISD High School Bands received a 1st Division Rating from a panel of 3 judges. LBJ, United South, Alexander, and United High School bands will now advance to the UIL Area G Marching Contest which will be held at the Bill Johnson Student Activity Complex on Saturday, October 27. This event is open to the public and gates will open at 8:45 AM with the first band performing at 9:45 PM. Admission is $5.00 per person and tickets will only be sold the day of the event, cash only accepted. "We are very proud of our four high school bands as they have worked diligently during the summer and since school began. Band directors and their students are looking forward to competing on Saturday in hopes they can advance to the State Marching Contest at the Alamodome in San Antonio on Monday, November 5th.
