In honor of National Education Week, National Geographic opened the screening of their "Science Fair" documentary to United ISD students taking Scientific Research and Design II. This amazing and inspiring film was viewed in the Bill Johnson Student Activity Center Auditorium (SAC).
“Science Fair” was filmed before and during the 2017 Intel International Science & Engineering Fair. It reveals the victories, defeats, and motivations of an incredible group of young women and men who are on a path to change their lives, and the world, through science. This movie invigorated the enthusiasm about science fair participation. The students featured in this docudrama served as role models for the students of United ISD who now feel a reclaimed excitement to participate in their school’s Science Fair.
