United Independent School District announces that seven high school band students have been selected for the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) All-State Band.
The audition process begins at each of the TMEA Regions. Individual musicians perform selected music for a panel of judges who rank each instrument or voice part. From this ranking, a select group of musicians advances from their Region to TMEA Area competitions. The highest ranking musicians are selected to perform in one of the TMEA All-State music groups. These All-State students participate in three days of rehearsals during the annual TMEA Clinic/Convention in San Antonio. The All-State Ensembles perform before thousands of attendees at concerts, which closes the yearly event..

Angel Ramos, Alexander High School - Percussion
