Doing Business with United Independent School District

eBID

The United Independent School District (UISD) Purchasing Office implemented an e-Procurement system called eBID.  This web-based system will permit electronic vendor registration, automatic vendor notification of bid opportunities, and electronic vendor bidding.

Vendors wishing to do business with UISD are encouraged to register online using the eBID portal powered by ION Wave Technologies. When a vendor registers, it allows the Purchasing Office to process and catalog information about the company and the goods and services they are able to provide to UISD. Generally, vendors will then be notified when UISD requires those types of goods and services. Vendor Registration

Notification of Bid Opportunities

The eBID registered vendors will automatically receive e-mail notifications whenever Requests for Proposals or other solicitations are issued by the District for the goods and services they provide.  Vendors can then access online through the system as well.

Online Bidding 

eBID vendors interested in responding to an invitation can submit a bid online by simply going online through the eBID system and providing the required pricing and other information.  Eventually, the Purchasing Office will phase out paper bids. Note: A vendor registering in eBID is only the beginning of successfully selling their goods and services to the District. All notifications of bid opportunities will be sent to the e-mail address supplied by the vendor.  In the event of a change in the firm’s e-mail address, contact person, address, phone, etc., it is important to also change it in eBID portal.  Otherwise, the firm will never receive notifications and the opportunity for bid submittal will be lost.  We also encourage vendors to include more than one company “User” when they register.  This will ensure that at least one person in the firm receives bid notifications.
