Rodolfo "Rudy" Gonzalez Jr., has been a criminal justice educator with Laredo ISD for 8 years and was elected as a United ISD School Board Member for District 2 in November of 2024. He is also a retired City of Laredo Council Member for District 1. A true public servant at heart, his background includes 25 years in law enforcement.

Mr. Gonzalez attended O. Salinas Elementary School, United South Middle School, and United South High School where he graduated in 2000 as a Panther Legend. He obtained an associate's degree in criminal justice from Laredo Community College. In 2003, he earned a state certification as a Peace Officer after attending the South Texas Regional Police Academy at Laredo Community College.

He has been married for 20 years to Lisa Gonzalez, and they have four beautiful children: Rodolfo Gonzalez III, Haylee Nicole, Ryan and Dagoberto. Mr. Gonzalez is the proud son of the late Rodolfo and Rosa Gonzalez. His father was a Peace Officer for over 30 years who served with the Sheriff Dept., Laredo Independent School District, and United Independent School District.

Mr. Gonzalez has been a resident of District 2 for over 25 years and dedicated himself to running for the UISD Board because he is a strong believer that high quality education is the foundation for our future leaders.

“I am motivated by our children's energy and creativity which continuously empowers my vision. I pledge to strive towards the progress and betterment of our school district," Gonzalez said.
