United ISD is dedicated to creating a safe environment for both students and staff. The requirement for clear bags/backpacks serves as another layer of our comprehensive strategy for school safety.
Clear bags may not entirely eliminate the possibility of prohibited items entering our premises, but they do act as a deterrent or obstacle for individuals trying to circumvent campus regulations.
United ISD takes the wellbeing of our students and staff very seriously, and is taking every precaution to ensure the safety of everyone at our schools. We encourage parents to talk to your children about safety. If parents or students see or hear of any suspicious or concerning activity, please report them immediately to district authorities or police. “See Something, Say Something.” Students are advised to add a tag or other form of identification to their clear bags/backpacks to prevent them from getting mixed up.
