“Excellence is always the expectation.” The United ISD Non-traditional Learning Environments NTLE) Department is committed to serving our leaders of tomorrow. We understand that education is a journey comprised of both long and short roads that lead to a better tomorrow for all. The NTLE department recognizes that the path of education can be varied, with some parts being straightforward and others requiring more time and effort. It is this perspective that leads us to create strategies and support systems that cater to different educational needs and paces.
We recognize that each student is an individual who, although facing hardship, must be prepared to meet the challenges of school and graduation requirements, including passing the STAAR test and college readiness preparation.
To support this journey, we offer various programs to students in need of non-traditional resources and/or environments, including:
- PASS (Optional Flexible School Day Program)
- Schools Personal Learning Program (PLP)
- Pregnancy Education and Parenting (PEP)
- General Education Homebound Services
- Residential Facilities
- STEP Academy
- Support for students attending JJAEP
These programs are designed to provide flexible and personalized learning options to help all students succeed, regardless of their circumstances.
